Finding A Balance

Hello everyone

I’m the host Nana, and in this episode of my podcast, I’m joined by my guest Fay to talk about how social media affects our well-being, relationships, and mental health. Fay shared with me how social media can be pretty complex, mentioning how it helped her mother overcome loneliness during the pandemic, but also how it can negatively impact our self-image and perception of life.

We also talked about how TikTok’s individualistic culture can be overwhelming and contribute to social media negatively affecting our mental health, as well as some studies showing the importance of taking breaks from social media.

Despite the potential negative effects, we also discussed the positive aspects of social media, such as connecting with people who share our interests. We both agreed on the importance of being intentional about our technology usage and finding ways to use it in a way that supports our health.
